  A new glocalization of oriental poetics and European jazz.

  Lina Lee is a Korean poet, composer and jazz vocalist.

  Since ancient times, poetry has been sung. All songs were also called poetry. The same meaning goes for her. For a Korean poet, composer and jazz vocalist Lina Lee, poetry is jazz and jazz is poetry.

  All songs performed in this concert are her own compositions and poems. Born in Korea, she began to discover and explore the interface between European jazz in Netherlands, American traditional jazz and traditional Korean music. She finally created a new glocalization by combining Korea's traditional oriental sensibility with restrained and elegant sounds, philosophy and attitude about music learned from traditional jazz and musical elements of European openness and exploration. In her music, you can experience how her own poetic jazz is created.

  She believes that the power of Korean oriental historical source, poetry that penetrates the essence, and jazz that experiences existence will combine to approach the most immutable truth of life.
