Jazzflits review

"Two pieces by Lina Lee are worth mentioning. In ‘Dragon’ her hypnotic singing sounded. The song refers to the year of the dragon, which in Korea points to the complexity and beauty of life. This was followed by a ballad dedicated to her grandmother, who lives on like a leaf in the wind. A quiet song in which elements of Eastern and Western singing were connected and which reminded me of a melody by George Gershwin.
I still have one comment left about the audience.
They knew very well that silence can be an essential part of music.",

Dareyn Ensemble

Dareyn, which means ‘two worlds’ in the Ottoman language, combines the mystical sound of the kemenche – with its heritage of traditional music originating from Istanbul and the Silk Road – with the deep-rooted sound of the voice and piano in a contemporary fashion.

Echoes of the Silk Road is a dynamic musical collaboration that brings together the talents of three female artists from South Korea and Turkey.

Through a fusion of Korean, Turkish, Western Classical, and jazz music, the ensemble creates a captivating blend of diverse musical traditions. By drawing inspiration from the rich musical heritage of the Silk Road, the Dareyn Ensemble offers a contemporary interpretation that reflects the cultural exchange and

artistic innovation that characterized this historic route.

May, fly

What if the loved ones die? what can I do? what can I be?
Maybe, at least, if loved ones are like falling leaves,
I can be the winds hesitating around the leaves.
I can be a mist hugging the leaves and dancing with the leaves like a Mayfly.
May-be, May-fly.
